I'll admit, I can be a bit snobby when it comes to what products I use. I don't often get products that aren't from a higher end brand, but there are a select few from drug stores that I absolutely adore, such as the Micellar Water and Thayers Witch Hazel from my previous posts. This lip balm is another one of those little miracle workers that I am in awe of.
One of my friends used to have a tube of this in her car, and I don't know why, but I thought it was the ugliest thing on earth. Maybe it's the colors, maybe its the name that made me think it was made out of automobile oil, I don't know. Regardless, I had no desire to try it and didn't think much of it. That was, until, I got the flu last year.
I was incredibly sick for a few weeks, and while there are so many nasty details I could get into, I will spare you the trauma and just tell you about my lips. Because my nose was so clogged, I was wheezing through my mouth all night long and my lips were becoming super dry and cracked. It didn't help that April in Montana is still freezing cold. Anyways, while my sick butt was wondering through a grocery store trying to find some supplies and relief, I saw this lip balm and figured I'd give it a go because my lips were suffering and I didn't care if it was ugly. I slathered on a large chunk before I went to bed, and when I woke up I was BLOWN AWAY. My cracked, dry lips were SOFT? What witchcraft is this?! I have been loyally devoted to this as a lip balm ever since, and keep tubes in my bedroom, bathroom, and in one of my purses (I forget which, I use a lot of purses). It's ugly, but it gets the JOB DONE. So if you need some serious moisturizing, check these out.
Price: $ (I feel like it should have less than a dollar sign it is so cheap)
Rating: 9/10 (Minus one rating for how ugly the packaging is)
You can find it pretty much anywhere, so we will skip the link on this one.
