I used to think that just because I had oily skin, I couldn't have sensitive skin as well. Because of this, I thought I should push through any unpleasant face products and burning was equated with cleansing. Obviously not my brightest moment, but I didn't have much help when it came to navigating beginner skincare and makeup.
Anyways, one of the items on the list of face-burning for me were certain makeup wipes. It seemed like some of the more effective ones were also the ones that stung the most. There are other makeup wipes that were kinder to my face, but it could take a couple to adequately remove makeup, and quality makeup wipes are not that cheap. Plus, with a normal face of foundation on, my skin would not be all that clean, and it was essential to wash my face afterwards.
This is where Micellar water comes in. Not only does it remove makeup, but it also is a cleanser and (in my opinion) is much more effective than other makeup removers/wipes. It's also very light and not greasy, which is what a found was the case for numerous other stand alone makeup removers. It removes makeup with great ease so I don't have to tug needlessly on my eyes, and by the time I am finished there is barely any trace of makeup when I wash my face.
It's great because of its dual purpose, providing an easy and quick clean after a nap or exercise. It's inexpensive and a single bottle lasts for months. It's gentle and light on sensitive skin, and that's one of the main reasons I love it, as many makeup removers are either harsh or greasy.
