*Note- The specific one I use is the Aloe Vera Formula in Rose Petal

This toner is another one of those cult favorites that I had read about for forever and a day before finally checking it out. The reason it took me so long was laziness (I didn't want to go to Target) and cheapness (Refused to pay Amazon shipping). Anyways, when I eventually did end up buying this and trying it out it did NOT disappoint.

I love this stuff. It's fantastic. To start off with, this toner smells like heaven. The first time I used it, I was shocked because I had never used any skincare product that had smelled so closely to a body spray. Rose scent is my favorite (You'll hear about this with upcoming bath posts), and this is just a teeny tiny thing that brings a sparkle of sunshine into my regular routines.

Now if you're like most people(other than my mom, we both like sweet smelling toners), you're probably not going to buy a toner just because it smells good. Which is fine! Because this gem does a lot more than just make my face smell like flowers. This toner is specifically made to shrink pores, but I have also read many reviews on how it helps with acne and it truly calms my skin down. I have oily skin, but that doesn't equate to tough skin. A little too often I go overboard with my drying acne medications when I'm really trying to fry up some pimple, and then my face feels the wrath of what I imagine Botox with a Sunburn would inflict. At this point, I have to shut out all of my acne medication, and even my moisturizer will sometimes feel like it's burning a hole through my cheeks.

This toner is so gentle it's one of the few things I can use on my face at any time, even after I've gone overboard. It's alcohol-free, and my skin feels tightened, but not dry after usage. I will often use this (if I'm not wearing makeup) throughout the day to cleanse and hydrate my skin. If you have sensitive skin, but still have a pore and acne problem, I highly recommend you checking this out. It's one of the few ways I can keep up with managing my acne while also staying away from my more intense toners.

On top of everything else, Thayers Witch Hazel is incredibly cheap. It's readily available in the Beauty section of Target and online. There's really not a whole lot to lose by trying it out, and you may just find a product you really love. (Don't be like me and take forever, you won't smell like roses and those gaping pore holes will continue to live their happy crater lives.)
