As I'm writing this, I'm sitting here with two little plastic booties filled with gel taped to my foot. Those who know me know that one of the things I hate most in this world is dry feet. I can't sleep if my feet feel the slightest bit rough, and I keep three different lotions next to my bed for middle of the night application. Recently, my feet have become cracked and the heels rough, because unfortunately, I also hate dirty feet, and wash my feet at least a dozen times a day. (And that's a low estimate) Anyways, I've been sitting in my tub scrubbing away at my feet with a pumice stone, a foot bar from Lush (I'll write about that one later, spoiler, it didn't help), and when I'm desperate, I attempted to shave off the dry skin with a razor. (This made my feet hurt. Do not do this. It is not smart. My feet were bleeding. Again, DO NOT DO THIS)
I've been resorting to endless Lotions and some foot cremes, and putting my socks on while applying a horrendous amount of the stuff to my feet, hoping I could incubate it into softening.
It's a little bit better, but nowhere NEAR my comfort level. And now my big toe dried out too.
I've heard about this treatment for a while, but I kept putting off getting it because I felt that the price was a lot for one-time use. HOWEVER, desperate feet call for desperate measures, and I am now soaking my feet in the baby foot booties (Also, my foot is itching. This is unpleasant)
After wearing these plastic socks for an hour, you are supposed to wash off the gel, and then 5-7 days later a whole layer of dead skin is SUPPOSED to come off? I've seen some pictures that were nasty but also beautiful as then the foot as smooth as (wait for it) a BABY'S FOOT.
I know this is super long for a preview, and I didn't intend to be this detailed, but whatever, it's my blog and nobody cares!
Stay tuned to hear about my dead skin falling off! (Hopefully. Fingers crossed)
